Inflation is easing in many European countries, but the European Central Bank will not be taking the pedal off the metal on interest rate hikes. Bloomberg reports on how the ECB plans to respond.

Passing the peak in European inflation may be good news for consumers, businesses and central bankers, but it's too soon to sound the all clear.

Reports since Friday have shown price gains from Germany to Spain easing more than economists expected in December after natural-gas costs retreated and government aid kicked in.
