• WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, has married his long-term partner inside a high-security prison in southeast London. The new Mrs Assange reportedly said “Our love will carry us through.”
• A recent study has found the male birth control pill is 99% effective in preventing pregnancy in mice. Human trials are expected to start later this year.
• Four Israeli people were fatally wounded after being stabbed. It has been reported that the perpetrator, a Palestinian mana was shot dead at the scene by another civilian.
• The worsening economic crisis in Sri Lanka has sparked an influx of migrants making their way to India. Yesterday, 16 Sri Lankan nationals, half of whom were children, reached India in fishing boats
• The Syrian leader has made his first trip to an Arab country since the Syrian war began 11 years ago. Assad traveled to the UAE, meeting with a number of leaders willing to strengthen ties once again.
