Discussions on making Hydrogen energy usage affordable have begun to get mainstream attention.

• When it comes to renewable energy, the costs of solar and wind energy have come down over time, but they have limitations when it comes to industrial use.
• Hydrogen energy is being touted as the solution for taking renewable energy usage to the next stage. Green hydrogen in particular is expected to speed up net-zero carbon emission targets.
• While there are various ways in which Hydrogen can be produced, the cleanest form - green hydrogen - is also the most expensive.
• Many countries and blocs such as the European Union have released their hydrogen plans and various protoypes are being tried out.
• But would the prohibitive costs around Hydrogen production kill this project? Or do we have no choice but to make it a reality soon?
